Financial Support for Child Cancer Treatment – Master Sonu’s Life-Saving Surgery

Master Sonu Singh, a 4‑year‑old boy from a poor family in West Bengal, was diagnosed with a Left Testis NSGCT‑Yolk Sac tumour last year. He underwent a Left High Inguinal Orchidectomy and six cycles of chemotherapy. Despite this treatment, he required an emergency surgery to remove a remaining tumour at Vydehi Hospital in Bangalore. His family, already heavily in debt, simply could not afford the cost of this critical procedure.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, Vydehi Hospital reached out to Master Vihaan Foundation for financial support for child cancer treatment. Our team immediately mobilised a group of volunteers and donors to raise the required funds for Master Sonu’s surgery.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to raise over 1.25 lakhs in just three days, ensuring that Master Sonu received timely, life‑saving surgery. To further strengthen the impact, all contributions received were matched with an equal amount by Master Vihaan Foundation.

This story is a powerful example of how timely financial assistance for paediatric cancer can make the difference between hope and despair for families in crisis. By coming together as a community, we helped give Master Sonu a renewed chance at life.
